Co-operation projects seek to share knowledge, experience and ideas with people in other rural areas. They are an excellent opportunity to work together towards common goals with others who face similar challenges, providing a mutual learning experience for all rural areas involved. Co-operation projects can between different LAG’s within Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, the UK, or European-wide.
SOAR LAG is committed to developing meaningful co-operation projects and programmes. Over the course of the next few years, we hope to focus on co-operation projects which look at:
- Lough Neagh
- Canal and River Development
- Greenway Development of old railway lines
- Tourist trails developed around arts and heritage
- Rural broadband
- Motorbike tourism
These projects will involve cross-border partnerships, European partnerships, as well as Northern Ireland-wide projects.
